Is that even possible?

I thought albinos were either, NOT albino, albino, or heterozygous. Heterozygous meaning 100%.

correct me please.

the % is just the odds that the animal is a het.

albino x normal = 100% het albinos
albino X Het = albinos and 100% hets
100%Het X 100%Het = albinos and 66% hets
100% Het X Normal = all 50% hets

Another way to look at it is like this: when two snakes known to carry the albino gene are paired together, on average 1 in 4 eggs will contain an albino, 2 in 4 eggs will contain snakes that have the albino gene but appear normal, and 1 in 4 eggs will contain normal looking snakes that don't have the albino gene. So of the 3 normal looking snakes, you have 2 that carry the gene and 1 which does not, but without breeding them out, you don't know which is which. So we say that each has a 2/3 chance of carrying the albino gene.

your right.

I forgot about that calculation.

I did reading before and I was aware of the % and how it was calculated, but being a newb, I didn't even think about the het x het possibilities.

I also forgot to post that i understood after i read the first reply. But thanks anyways, I appreciate it.
