Ok, I'll be first to jump...Twiz..you do know that it's not a wise thing to house two balls in the same cage? If you do, I'll leave the subject alone, it's your decision, but if you don't, guys can you help him out? NICELY. Laughing Laughing

You might want to read up more on this subject...what appears to be "getting on well" is actually other behavior. Laughing Mad

ive done my reading on it and they both leave each other alone ive provided them both with hides on each side of the tank so they dont have to fight for the warm or cool spot. i do know many people that were successfull in keeping ball pythons together (and still do). i am aware of the consequences if things go bad but i do not belive they will, atleast untill the snakes are both much larger. i have seen a friends kingsnake eat a rattlesnake, and a garter snake. but as i said in my last post it is only temporary and if anything extremely changes i do have a tank splitter. thanks for the concern though. and belive me i keep a much closer eye on them now that they live together.

*Opens her mouth to say something. Stops and looks around then continues* Is the substrait really thick or is mine just too thin?

Moshi, he said he read up on what do do, and he believes that he knows what he is doing, so, his cage must be spot on. Smile

If you are following the directions, and your temps are measuring correctly, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as they don't come in contact with the UTH and the surface substrate are the correct temps you are fine. Smile

i use really thick substrate to simulate a burrow. i have half logs buriedwith holes leading into them on a slant downward. i just like how it looks its so there isnt as much substrate as it looks from th pics where the snakes hide about 1-2 inches in the hides and about 4-5 varying thruout the rest of the tank. this way the snakes dont have to look at all the annoying people who walk in my room. its just a personal preferance. i got the idea from my tarantula who buried her halflog with substrate she pulled out from under it to make more of a burrow, so i figured id try it with my snakes. its an experiment, i like to try new things and innovate.
