1st things 1st- awesome-very awesome photo Radical- nice work and beautiful snake. I am happy with the responses- THANKS FOR EVERYONE BEING SO WELCOMING-, and with excitement and enthusiasm I said it outloud. I appreciate it all, especially honest, real stuff, and yes people have differences. Like I first said, for me to be a success (or to feel confident in this particular endeavor), I do really require "real life" (to put it short) teachings, in addition to my own research (thanks RC for the link to free info, cannot find that by the search engine..whew that’s forsure!), and books of course. I work in an Animal Hospital, however our Vets do not see exotics, so I do not get much enlightment from them, nor do I see reptiles period and or talk to owners of them. I have my books, and I have one on order (thanks to Mleaster), I have the means, and now I have access to experienced Ball owners, you all...what I do not have YET is my own Ball, so.. I guess.. (biting my nail like a little kid doing something naughty, and seriously, there is not an emoticon (even out of all the options) for this feeling I have when I validate the inevitable:-) this is my next step.

You will be fine, regardless of all the information that is out there, because as long as their temps, humidity, substrate and lightening is good...they are extremely hardy animals, and very docile.

Talk of tagging can be offputting, but we need to remember that they do not bite unless feeling threatened or hungry (mistake you for prey and you smell of it) Embarassed As long as the basics are followed, they are the GREATEST pets in the world!! They don't run and jump on us when we get home, but they show their appreciation for our care, by eating regularly, becoming hand-tame...mellow, and allowing us the chance to observe them. ("LOOK AT ME, I AM BEAUTIFUL", they say to me!) Laughing
