So today I fed my 5 month old normal a big F/T mouse and it took a while but finally he took it and constricted. So I left to let him eat in peace and when i came back he was at the other end of his feeding tub trying to escape. So I watched him for a while and he moved over near the mouse he had just constricted and he smelled it and then did another full strike like it was a different mouse and he constricted it again for a while as if he was killing a new one. Then he finally ate it. I thought this was pretty funny. I wonder if he completely forgot about the fact that he had already "killed" it.

Maybe they're not getting the credit they deserve. Maybe they are highly intelligent animals who will sometimes run drills on their own time to practice their striking ...nahh, they're dim-wits. But we love them.
