|
Number 2 has been soaking her vent for the last couple of days. Not her entire body, just from the vent back.
I checked for mites but didn't see any, cleaned the tank, and sprayed for mites just to make sure (yesterday) and she went back to soaking her vent again this morning.
Stats:
She is about two and weighs 1482 grams as of right now.
Temps are 85/95, humidity is actually off the charts because she spilled some of her water from her dish.
What would make her want to soak her vent. Is it preparation for breeding, or something I should be worried about?
I put my male spider in with her last week for two days just for fun and left her shed in there. He was all over the shed like it was a drug! I never seen them lock or anything though.
Sorry I can't post pics. My camera is packed up for our NYC trip. My buddy will be checking up on my snakies on Wednesday.
Give me some good news!
I will try to answer this week if my hotel has internet access.

Oddly..... I overlooked this! You could be right. She hasn't left a log for a few weeks. Maybe she's got a big one brewing!
I am way too preoccupied with this vacation! The last thing I wanted was a problem with the snakes!

Hope she's not constipated. There are ways to assist if you believe she is.

I agree, probably preparing to poop. She knows what needs to be done (according to her behavior) and is taking care of it. Be patient.

Haha, awesome! I didn't know BPs actually did that THEMSELVES... lol... most of us know to provide a bath when BPs get constipated, looks like yours was smart enough to save you the trouble!
