Where's the ventilation? I see there are slits in the perspex at the top but is that enough to let air into the base where the snake is? Not sure why there is heaters at both ends either. I know I sound picky but I don't understand the layout of this viv.

I doubt real mj plants would harm them since they're not vegetarians, but I did read that the smoke is toxic to snakes.

I can vouch for the smoke. My first snake (Black Rat) fell victim to the "devils weed" many, many, many, many moons ago. I can also report that he had a serious case of cotton mouth after the party. Sad to say the next day he was dead. So don't try this at home kids!

Hat's off to the Green's. THat is an awsome looking set up. Great job!

Wow, I never saw this reply!

Yes, the slits between the plexiglass sheets are enough ventilation, in addition to what gets through where the lamps are. That is no problem.

I heat both ends because room temperature isn't enough to keep the cool side up to 80 degrees. Smile With a tank this big usually you need heating all the way across, particularly belly heat. The lamp over the cool side only goes on when the ambient temp goes down below 80 (it's on a thermostat). Other lamp is on all the time to keep the ambient temp around 90.

As for my long-ago humidity problem, I gave up the battle and put in a humid hide. She has had perfect sheds all the way through! Very Happy
