im not good at the square so figured id ask here.

to get an albino spider one could possibly use

spider 100% het albino x 100% het albino right? but it would be like 1 in 8 or 1 in 16 odds rather then having better odds using a spider het albino x albino

thanks

Yep, you're right. I hope to hatch these beauties out this season. If not this season, most definitely next season (Spider het Albinos x Albinos). Very Happy

I'll check on the odds for you, unless someone beats me to the punch. I've pretty much stopped looking at what the odds are supposed to be for this breeding or that breeding based on the number of boot impressions left on my rear end from "Mother Nature" over the years. Laughing Laughing Laughing

I think 1 in 8 is correct. Without running the square, we know 100% het albino x the same will yield 1 in 4 for albino. Spider is co-dom, so there's a 50% chance that comes through, reducing your overall likelihood of getting a combined albino/spider by half. It wouldn't be 1 in 16: that's the probablilty when dealing with two recessive traits.

So with two recessive traits there could be 2 ways of doing it also right?

take an axanthic clown you could use

clown het axanthic x axanthic het clown

or

normal looking double het clown axanthic x normal looking double het clown axanthic
