My python managed to get under the mat covering the UTH and I think she has gotten burnt.... Image attached. There looks to be some fluid under the scales. Please help!

No, don't have a thermostat.... I know I should have had one and this wouldn't have happened. I feel horrible as I should. Will get her to the Vet. is there anything to do in the mean time? will be a 24-36 hours before I get get in to the vet.

May I save your pic to show the rest of the members and members-to-be that also come on here convinced that a thermostat is not necessary?
May save another snake a lot of grief.

PLEASE PLEASE do.... I don't want this to happen to another Ball. I consider this neglect on my part. This should not have happened.

Since you realize that you FUBAR, I'll go easy.
I would have suggested a tepid bath in Chlorhexidine (proper mixtures) to try and prevent infection. Since this does appear to be a burn (yes, I have seen one before) the fluid under the scales is similar to the fluid that builds up under the skin localized when it's burned, we call it a "blister."
I am leaning towards believing it's a burn also because it's heavily localized in one place..the heaviest place that they lay on in the belly location instead of spotty locations over the bottom scales as it tends to be when it's a scale disease.
Since you probably don't have any Chlorhexidine, I am not experienced enough with other chemicals to suggest anything else. A VET ASAP is my recommendation just as a preventative measure since she has blisters and will probably be in a messy place from time to time (dirt and open scales is a no-no).
I would take her out of the tank..while waiting for the vet and her shed... and put her on clean dry paper towels in a tub (with a locking lid) so she can shed without stress and PUT A THERMOSAT on the UTH that's on the tub.

Maybe put some antibacterial ointment on it as well?

Darn Harald, I have some of that!! I didn't think of it because i was thinking it's more for open wounds. I was leaning more towards keeping the area clean, disinfected and dry.

No.
Silver sulfadiazine treats the bacteria and fungi that are likely to infect a burn wound.
