5-7' is correct, but they are slender bodied snakes and weigh less than BP's. Females should get slightly longer than males. Biaks on average get the biggest. I can't remember where I heard it, but it seems to me there were claims of an 8' Biak female once. I doubt it was accurate, but I'll just put that out there. My Biak is on the small side, but she's not full grown yet. Aru's are supposedly shorter, but my male Aru seems to be bucking that trend, coming in at something like 6'.

Good luck measuring a GTP's length. These guys do not stretch out when you want them to. Seems a part of them is always curled around something. My 6' estimate for my Aru is based on shed length. I had a 7' shed from him, but the sheds are very elastic compared to BP sheds, so I subtracted a foot. I'm guessing he's just shy of 6'.

Biggest one I ever saw was a huge female, all coiled up on a branch. She looked like a bright blue basketball.

My opinion? 6 months to a year from date of hatch, but you play it by ear based on the individual's temperament. Remember, they tend to be nippier in their first year, but this is a good thing because nippier tends to correlate to good feeding response.
