Okay, so I just recently got a 8 wk old male Ball Python.
I let him get accustomed to my houses sounds and smells for about 5 days before I decided to feed to him.
So last night I put the lil mouse and my python in a seperate container and then put a towel over it as well. I heard mouse squeaks about 5 minutes after I put the mouse in the container, but decided to wait until morning just to be safe. So I wake up this morning and look in the cage and the mouse is still alive!

WTH?! Did I jump to the gun with trying to feed my Python?
He acted like the mouse didn't even bother him.
When I bought him from the breeder he told me to wait 5 days or so before feeding him because he had been fed 2 days ago. Shouldn't he be hungry?
Now i'm supposed to wait about 5 more days before attempting again.
How am I supposed to keep the mouse alive without its mother? I mean.. I've had it for 3 days today and i've been keeping my extra UTH to keep it warm (even fed the thing milk!!!) and it's still alive.. how long do you think it'll survive?
& if it dies does that mean I can't use it/freeze it or something?

Sorry about all the questions.. I just have absolutely no idea and i've searched the internet for answers with no luck.

Thanks a bunch for your input.

The eyes aren't open but it has ears. It's day 4 and it's still alive though.

I live in DFW.

I've heard to never leave one in with the snake, but the breeder told me that the fuzzy wouldn't harm him if I did it.

& that's cool. I live in Arlington!
