it was 6 nails Buck.
they said that the person that did it didnt want the snake to die right away as they didnt put a nail through the heart or head.
it was left up there from some time during the night until 3:30 the next day

wow poor lil snake... 
glad to hear its recovering. there was a similar story in chesterfield va a few years back that some kids nailed a hamster to a wall. some kind of satanic ritual.... weird..
hope the snake makes a full recovery.
