It's late so I'll be brief (yeah right...when have I ever been brief?).

Feeding time. Captain 20 was in his water dish. I was concerned. I pulled tub out and placed it on the floor. He was alert and mouth slightly open. Had cypress mulch stuck in his mouth, couldn't close it. Had something long and hairlike sticking out the other side. May have been an insect leg. Light was low, hard to tell. Called Mrs. 99 down. She brought flashlight and credit card. I secured C20's head while Mrs. 99 pried open mouth with the card and shone the flashlight. We removed cypress but the other thing was swallowed. Never got a clear view. Decided to let C20 roam around my arm since he didn't seem eager to let go of my arm (if you grab a chondro behind the head, they tend to drop everything else and latch on to your arms with their tails, and then just like that, you're the perch and they don't like to be removed from their perch). Saw the tongs and the pup I'd been planning to feed to him. Thought, hmm, I'm a perch now, why not? Grabbed pup with tongs and offered to the Captain while he was on my arm. He struck. Mrs. 99 chastised me for not letting her know I was going to do it so she could get a picture. I said Get the picture now. You've just viewed the result.

To get him back in his tub I simply unwrapped his tail from my arm, and while it curled around looking for purchase, I let it find his perch. Once he was secured I let go and he went right on eating.

Cool OR...the lighting is all wrong. Face isn't red in person though. I didn't even notice it in the pic until Nick mentioned it. That is weird.

There's a bonding moment if I've ever seen one. Very cool.
