Well, I found out how to work clay/sand (thanks barbo) and took the opportunity to upgrade the Duchess's tank. I think she was pleased. It is hard sand/clay that she can't eat, and in her shedding box, laying box and hides she has the dirt substrate for softness.

p.s. Her tank doesn't have condensation and the humidity will go down eventually, I had just sprayed to dampen the dirt substrate. She eats super worms, wax worms (she doesn't seem to like them much), and giant mealworms. She has calicum in a small bottle top and a UVB lamp that shines during the day.

Nice work and nice leopard you got there. I've also been looking to upgrade my leopard's tank. I got one of those foam sponge looking things and made some caves for her to crawl in. Did you have to baked the clay after you were done molding it? What kind of clay is it? Thanks

I saw that "foam looking thing" and it was priced at 21.00, foam, I can get a thick pad, cut runs in it myself, and dye it for effect! Cool (anyone can). Nope, I didn't have to bake the clay..just let it dry. It is that molding clay that is sold on the pet supplies sites as Excavator Clay burrowing substrate. The only thing different that I did was mold the burrows myself instead of letting the animal do it as suggested.

Thanks, I put some better pics up so everyone can see how she lives.

Addiction? Pshaw!! Laughing Honestly, I really want one of the Giants. Tremper Giants they are called, but I can't justify paying 300+ for a gecko..cause it's not as if I want to breed them. So...what I do is feed HER well and hope she gets very big herself! Laughing
