Out of all things that I wanted to do today this wasnt one of them, woke up at 6 am dismorning ((havent done that in a long time)) with a sharp pain in my lower back to side area on my right hand side and I was puking up everything i tried to eat and drink. So at like 2 in the afternoon I finally give in to the fiancee and mother in law to go to the ER with no job and no insurance because I am in the bathroom every 5 minutes (guess what I got yet?), so I ride down there get signed in and everything and wait around till about 4 yes 4 to get a bed to be poked proded and giving these lovely pain killer shots in my legs ((great stuff, didnt fully work though, but ehhhhh......well after you get over the feeling of having your muscle in your lege forced apart)). So I get bloodwork, urine test, and even a cat scan of my waist. I find out around 9 at night ((two times they had to inject me)) that I have a kidney stone in my kidney 1mm wide which will pass. So I get my meds ((vicadin so nice)) and go about my business around 10 30 since they had to fill the meds.
Great thing about New York, ER's have to take you, and will work out payment plans with you to you can afford because 60% of people dont pay for them. But anyways had plans to go see my new neice today but nope couldnt do that do to my kidney.

Ouch! That's awful, I hope it, er, passes soon.
Seriously, my father had a kidney stone when I was a kid, and for a guy who never complained about anything and never let on if something was hurting him, he sure was yelling awfully loud during that episode. I've been terrified of kidney stones ever since.
I hope you feel better soon.

I feel your pain!
Kidney stones suck. I had them back in 2002 and it was the worst pain EVER. My stones (2) were stuck... so they had to "go up and get them" a week later. They put a stent in to drain my kidney into my bladder.
Vicodin really didn't take the pain away... it just made it so I didn't care as much.
They gave me demerol at the hospital! That stuff was wicked!
Good luck on the "passing"

Arlynos,
I am sorry that you are in pain, but Bucks' pun, and Number 2's discriptions had me in stitches. I know it's not nice to laugh at anyone in pain..so trust me I wasn't laughing at YOU (I was laughing with you, cue: laugh).

Yea I laughed a little at the responses, but the vicodin is helping a lot and I dont really feel the pain right now but it comes and goes, but I am hoping to be getting better soon.
