I know this is a ball python only forum but I dont know where else to go. I came home from vacation and found my sand boa wrapped in duct tape around her UTH. She seems ok she is moving around. But she is covered in the glue and I cant tell if she has burns.
What should I do?

well a bath in luke warm water should disappate the glue but your best bet is to probally go to the vet.
Also Did you have a thermostat on the uth?

I know how you feel. My bp wasn't completely wrap up but she had a small piece of tape stuck on her side and you know how strong duct tape can get specially after sitting on the warm side of the tub for hours . I would definitely soak her in warm water like arlynos said. That's what I did, that small piece of tape took a while to be removed bc I didn't want to harm her scales in any way, I had to soak her for 30 mn and some how she knew it was for her own good, she held still all the time just starring at me. She was a trooper.

more experience from myself then with snakes lol, used to tie my brother up with duct tape and he would have to sit in the hot tub for a hour or so to get it off lol. Hope that helped and your snake only has tape glue and no burns.

I thought I should update some good news. After a month she finally ate. And she has calmed down a lot. She has no burns but the glue did a number on parts of her screen and scales. I am hoping that it will clear up in a few sheds.

Good for her. How did you manage to get the tape off?
