|
HellO Mr. Ron!
I'm really hoping I can have your attention just a bit, I'm in need of assistance from experienced only!
By the way, I emailed you from universal.adv@hotmail.com about your 100% het albino pair this past week. I'm still going to purchase those beauties, but I need help setting up their home!! so this question is really for them
I'm trying to regulate temp correctly with flexwatt but it doesn't seem to even get hot enough. I bought a thermostat that only goes up to 96 degrees. Inside the tubs isn't even close to being comfortable for my balls. It is the 11" tape and I have 28quart sterilite tubs.
I have the thermometer inside the tub, buried in the aspen but not touching the bottom.
This is my final product, soon to come, I'll have more racks, and larger racks across the entire wall and I plan to build somewhat of a boxed enclosure around it all with a glass front to help keep in heat and humidity as well as to serve for proper night and day schedules regulated to the season. i have your tutorial memorized about season changes and breeding season.
The flexwatt has been on for about an hour and a half and i'm not even near satisfied with the temps.
Wouild i need extra heating elements or a stronger thermostat? i wannt those albinos to feel like they never left your place!
Thanks Ron

*So I did some temp checking and inside the hot spot with my thermometer probe, it read 87.8. This reading was from the top tub.
**AHHA the reading on my tub inside the shelf is 94.4 on the hot side SUCCESS!! And the cool side is 85.6~.8
1. Would you say this is an optimal temp gradient for my balls?
How do you set your ball python room for optimal conditions? : )
I know there is probably a lot that goes into what you do since you have different temp settings, you prob have timers, heaters, etc.
I really need to know how to control humidity, which will prob be by spraying, but more importantly how to check on the percentage for each tub without having a humidity reader in each one. With this info here I'll have a pretty good setup

There are a ton of threads here (along with my blog and the Articles & Reports sections of the website) that discuss each of the topics you've presented. Try using the 'Search' feature (see above) as we've discussed many of these topics in great depth and there's lots of good information throughout the discussions that may be of benefit to you. Thanks.
