Okay so I know what and UTH is and I know what Flex Watt is so really I was wondering which would work better for keeping a 20 gallon long tank and a 45 gallon tank warm. Or would a mix of the two or a UTH and heating cable maybe?
I have a set up my 20 gallon long for a bit just to check things out but I set the UTH up wrong and didn't raise the tank for air flow and when I realized that took it down (up and down in 5 hours). But when I had it up humidity seemed good about 60% but my temps were low. I set the 20L with a heating bulb over the basking spot and the UTH under it and the temps on the warm side only got to 84F and on the cooler side they were at 74F. I know a big part of this is because I live in a cooler climate and my house temperature floats around 60-65F. So is there a way I can get both those tanks to the correct temperatures and what would do the best.
I know to get a ceramic blubs but what wattage would anyone suggest?

im not sure about ceramic heat emitters but when i had a 40 gal breeder i was using a 100 watt red bulb (be careful with these and hook it to a rheo or tstat they get hot) hooked to a rheostat on the hot side and a large uth hooked to a thermostat on the cool side with digital thermometers/hygrometers to measure temps and humidity. my room temps were around 65, hope this helps.

Theres a lot of info missing here to determine what you need.
1. What are you measuring temps with
2. Does your thermometer have a probe and if so where is it placed.
3. What kind of substrate
4. Do you have a t-stat for the uth and or the basking lamp.
5. PICS PICS PICS PICS PICS PICS PICS WOULD HELP.....
