Deceided to have a experiment to see if Ty would eat 2 mice in one sitting today because she is getting big enough to eat bigger things, so I offered her the first one even though she is in shed right now she struck and ate it right away so I was happy and then I offered her the second she wasnt interested and guess I got next week's food sitting in a tiny cage on top of her cage, kinda sick I know making the mouse watch below as its executioner slithers around, but it was worth it. And how much do you usually pay for feeder mice or rats? I pay a 1.25 a mouse is that cheap?

i pay .75 for an adult mouse and 1.50 for a small rat, find a local breeder in you area and they can normaly hook you up. i do bulk orders since i have alot of animals. if they wont sell only one mouse or rat you can find other herpers in your area and combine an order so that you get the cheaper rates.

wait until you start breeding them...all you buy is food and bedding for them. now you spend more time cleaning and caring for the rats but you dont have to pay each week for them.

well breeding them isnt gonna be a problem for them when she gets older and big enough for rats, got a male rat from a friend who will impregnate my two rats and just start feeding them off to it until I need more and repeat and just buy rats in the interim between pregnancies.
