How much should a ball python weigh before it is ready to breed.
I read 1500 Grams for a female.... but what is it for a male?
My female normal is up to 1418 grams!

there is no real set guidelines.... i would say MIN is 1200 grams for a female but i would wait until they are 1500 grams and at least 2+ years of age.. males can go really at any time if they are producing sperm, some of the books state that 800 grams on a male MIN because of fasting. you need to make sure your males eat while breeding because they can breed to death. males have been known to breed as small as 350 grams but its RARE

This girl I know didnt know what she was doing and tried putting two balls together..to breed...the female was young (less than 2 yrs) and according to what she says....the female killed the male... I dunno how much her weight was.

very very odd for a female to kill a male... is she sure it wasnt another male and they were "combating"?
