|
A few years back I had a wild caught snake that I was unable to get identified .
It looked like except a darker pattern and keeled scales, so I could only assume that it was a cross breed.
Well I caught it near a river, and it would only eat fish. I would put fish in the water dish for him and let him go nuts until he was good and full about once a week.
I was wondering how Ball Pythons would react to fish, (goldfish / minnows..etc) or if they should only eat mice and rats.

Ron?
I have never attempted to feed my balls anything but their "normal" prey...as close to normal as we can get. LOL I wouldn't have a clue, but then I never fed my dogs table scraps either.

Never heard of them eating fish before but you might want to conduct an experiment and let us know the results!

the ribbon snake would kinda just snag it in its mouth and pull it out of the water and just hold it there til it dies.

Well my old snake would grab it by the head and swallow it while it was still flicking around, but he wasn't much of a constrictor.
It was cool because you could see the fish still flicking around in his stomach after he swallowed it :P
