I didn't have too much trouble with the disection. It's probably a good thing. You know, me wanting to be a vet.

I sucked at Bio and Chemistry, I'm more of a math guy, going to college for accounting.

I loved bio. but I refused to do the disection thing. The teacher was going to flunk me but I had a long disscussion with the BOE and my principal and they figured it was in their best interest not to flunk me for that. we agreed on an A- for my final grade. The following year we found a computer program where you could disect animals and such on the computer. My A- is now an A+ Very Happy

Well, that's good! We disected in pairs. One doing the cutting the other filling out all the papers. I was the one with my hands in frog guts.

LOL. I love to dissect. In wildlife whenever an animal dies we get to dissect it. I’m the one running off to get the scalpels! Very Happy
And in bio we dissected a few things like fish, frogs, and even a cat! But the best was when we dissected a cow heart. The teacher let me take the extra ones home. I now have them floating in formaldehyde in my room right next to my ball pythons!

I also earned my A. I had a 100 average in the class until it was time to disect. It was not that it was nasty, I just did not feel like it was right to kill these animals just so we could plunder around inside of them, not when the teacher knew all along that there was a computer program. I am an animal person, now if it were a spider, if there were anything left on the bottom of my shoe, they could have had fun with that.

yes there IS a computer program, my sister used it 4 years after me. The teachers won't admit to knowing about it however. I'll look around and see if I can locate a copy. You can disect just about anything. There was even a human on the copy we found. That was interesting.
