while searching the internet for ideas on incubators i found these pic's and a why they did this....really good idea and was told they keep stable temps because of this

"The more volume that you can take up in the box the more stable the temps. I have a lot of bottles in the pictures because the first time I used it (this year) I only had 1 clutch...I should have 3 more this time so I will end up removing some the bottles.
This setup never moved from 88.7 degrees the entire incubation period."

Water bottles work well and so do bricks believe it or not. The premise is that when you open the door of an incubator, the internal temperature drops some and air in and of itself is not a good medium for holding temperatures. The water bottles (and bricks) work well as heat sinks because they hold and stabilize temperatures better than air.

Thats also one of the reasons brick homes tend to be more expensive than equivalant homes with siding. Brick would be tend to be heavier than water, also larger bottles would work better, as there is less surface area.
