Mines fallen out of my lap and off the bed, but I dont think it is retarded. I know when mine climbs down off his tree his tail smacks sometimes. I doubt this makes them retarded, their problem is no legs Razz

I had a retarded cat, his name was stupid. He was cross-eyed and when he would go into the bathroom, (down a straight hall) he would walk several times into the wall, then bang his head on the door, while it was open. He would play with a plastic spoon on the kitchen floor for hours and he slept on his back with his head turned sideways. I had to get rid of him after I had my daughter because he would sleep in her bed with her and I was not worried about anything happening to her, he just loved to be rocked. He loved her baby swing. My ex husband was very very superstious about cats. Hated Stupid.

Shoulda kept the cat and gotten rid of the hubby. Laughing I think I mentioned before that before I had snakes, some time ago when the kids were small, I had 5 cats. Each of my children had their own cat. My second son's cat liked to lay in his bed with him sucking his ear...don't ask.. Laughing I am not supersitionist at all, and one of the cats was black, of course we had a white one too (hedging our bets)! LOL Didn't believe that hooey about cats sucking the breath out of babies...research will show they can't do that. What they can do is lay on the baby's face and suffocate it...most wouldn't do that, they don't have that kind of mental capacity..if they lied on the baby's face and the baby started having trouble breathing, the baby would start moving and mewling..the cat would move. It would not stay there with the express intention of killing the baby. LOL

But it's like snakes, Debbie. Some people have an unreasonable fear of them and refuse to research or learn anything new. They prefer to remain ignorant, even snake owners can be ignorant refusing to learn anything new. It's a MAD, MAD, MAD world. Surprised

The whole thing about suffocating a baby was figured out, it only happened in cases that the baby was put to bed with a bottle of milk or still had milk on its face.

Right!! They wouldn't lay on the baby or suck it's breath out with the express intention of killing it...but you would be surprised how many people still believe this. (not talking about your hubby, but the general consenus.) Laughing
