ok im about to buy an infrared bulb and i was wondering if they produce more heat than a regular bulb used for reptiles.(assuming both types of bulbs are the same wattage)

A basic black or red bulb achieves the same goal at a fraction of the price. Wink

I have used red flood bulbs from menards they usaly run between $3.00-$4.00 per bulb.
