Today my ball didnt eat. This is a very wierd thing becuase she hasnt eaten for 3 weeks. I normaly feed her once a week, but 3 weeks ago (the last time she ate) she ended up eating a gigantic rat. I asked the guy at the pet store for a small rat and he gave me a medium rat. Anyway, becuase of the rat being so big I decided not to feed her a week later becuase i figured she was full. Then I ended up having to wait another week to feed her becuase she was in shed. So finally today I tried to feed her and she didnt eat. Lastly, just to throw it out there, I tryed to feed my ball in my bath tub today. I normaly feed her inside of a plastic tub the size of a 20 gallon tank. But thats too small to feed her in so i just put her in a bath tub with the rat in it.

Totally nothing to be immediately worried about.
My ball just finished a three-month fast.
Balls stop eating for many reasons. Namely changes in environment (temp, etc.)--has anything changed in the viv?--or changes in prey, or feeding practices. A new feeding enclosure (bathtub, lol) might have made your ball nervous, or maybe there was just something about this particular rat that was different than normal.
Sometimes they just stop eating for no discernible reason. I would suggest keeping on a regular feeding schedule (offering every week or 2 weeks or whatever), and if your ball continues not eating, just keep an eye on its weight and check if it's still pooping, etc.
Anyone else?

Sorry to take this off topic but..doesn't it piss u off when the pet store gives you the wrong size mice/rat. Almost every single time I buy from this one place i ask for 2 frozen adult mice and 2 frozen hoppers and they give me 2 extremely small adult mice and 2 pinkies that look like they were born 30 seconds before i bought them. Then i have to go back sooner than i wanted to and buy more. I have told them before and they continue to get it wrong. I wonder if they do this so i have to come back more and buy more from them.

Totally! Every store THINKS they know the sizes, but 'medium' at one store is a completely different size than 'medium' at another store... or merely another employee at the SAME store even though I've been assured the rodents are all 'clearly labelled'....
