Number 2 finally ate a (small) rat yesterday or sometime over night!
I think the last time she ate a rat was in November or early December.
She ate mice, then went off feed for a few months during winter.
She came back "on feed" in spring with a vengeance! She ate five mice in one week but went off feed for two weeks since.
I didn't want to stress her this week so I planned on skipping a week and trying next week, but I had a small pre-killed rat the my pastel (for some reason) rejected. The pastel ate another rat right away...?
I dropped the KO'd rat in front of her favorite hide expecting to see it (and smell it) in the morning... but IT WAS GONE! The rat is too small for a full meal... but I'm glad she is going back to rats!
She is in shed (I found out) today, so I am suprised she ate!
Looks like rats are back on the menu for next week!

A very choice selection for the menu I might add. An absolute superb dish.
