Just wanted to share this story:

I purchased Samwise from the previous (Nick knows when) Havre de Grace show. I brought him home and proceeded to build a pen for him (planning to winterize it at a later date). Samwise escaped, and I couldn't find him anywhere! I gave up looking and considered him gone (it was summer). Shortly before it began to get cold he returned (he showed up in the yard).

Because it was now cold and I was busy, I wintered him in the house:

Two weeks ago we had another beautiful day in MD, so I put him out side in a HIGHER pen (so I thought) to enjoy some natural rays and wild flowers. He again decided to explore. AGAIN I searched the WHOLE YARD, cut the grass (being careful) to make it easier to spot him and NO SAMWISE. I guess he got the feeling that he was going to be replaced (I was checking out the Cherry-head) because he returned!

Here he is now..enjoying a huge meal after his wanderings.

Perhaps he's living up to his namesake, journeying to distant realms as a pawn in an epic war.
