|
For about the last week, my ball gets very active at night, which is very new to me. Normally I only see her begin to move around when she is beginning to get hungry again, but I knew that couldn't have been the case b/c I fed her the day before all this night movement started. My husband seemed to think she was going into heat. Do snakes do that?

Welcome...
It's never been described like that, but In a manner of speaking you could say so. How do you know that yours is a female? Did you have it probed?
Someone may be along later to answer in more detail, or to pass time, you could search Ron's blogs (see link at the top, next to the "BPs for Sale" link) for more information.

I have a few that try to escape alot, even though they've tried before, doesn't stop them from continuing to try.
On the other hand, sometimes they try to escape when temps are too hot in their cage.
Feeding once a week, appropriate size meals, will keep them healthy, but not stop their attempts to break out

They won't stop trying to escape until they reach a termite mound in western Africa. Even then I'd bet they wouldn't stay put for long.
