Just wondering if any one has used/ uses theese and if you would recomend them. Also how are they with holding in humidity?

I don't use them... somebody said they turn to mush when wet. The topic "microwaving dirt and bark" in this section has alot of substrate info.

The person to ask would be Deb. I believe that she uses (or used) Sani-Chips.

Used! In tanks or racks, it turns to heavy wet sand when it gets wet, and it will get wet, because in aquariums, it has to be constantly missed to keep the humidity up. This makes it damp..not a good environment for balls. However, it is beautiful, and easy to spot clean, but very bad in that it holds the water. The environment should be humid, dampness is not good.
