My bp has been staying on the cold side(80 degrees) of it's tank for over a week now and i have yet to see it venture over to the hot side. Should this be cause for concern?

well mine will generally stay on the cool side as well since it is about 82 degrees usually, but will go down to the warm side when I am sleeping which is usually around 90 degrees it self ((I know since she likes to poop in the other hide)) so if all your temps are good and humdity she may be happy on the cooler side and just roll with it.

I agree with Arlynos, it may be too hot. How do you know the temps? what are you measuring with and where do you measure?
PICs of the set up would be very helpful.

All responses are "educated" guesses. There is no tried and true method of knowing what's wrong with someone else's snake without detailed pictures that show the temps on the thermometers and humidity (and a temp gun to confirm).
Even digital thermometers can "bloop" and give false readings. Only the keeper that KNOWS his animal can spot discrepancies and know almost immediately the cause. But this skill is developed through a intimate knowledge of one's snake and comes from months and years of handling and learning.
All anyone else can do (that's not a VET) when asked about someone elses' animal is make an educated guess and 8 times out of 10 the guess would be correct if the guesser had lots of knowledge of the behavior of the animal and probable causes of some 'odd' behaviors.
Our guesses were correct reasons for the snake being on the cool side, but there can also be other reasons. If our reasoning is not on target it doesn't mean that it was wrong..it's a process of elimination to arrive at the cause and thus is how we learn our animals behavioral patterns.
