Captain 20 coiled his food outside of the tub, forcing me to move him back into his tub during constriction. Same thing Mr. Wibbles did last week, and Deb shared a pic of one of her BP's doing the same. Guess it's a more common occurrence than I thought, and GTP's do it too.

Query: How do you supply UBV? Do these snakes need it?

No, they don't need UVB, or at least not so much that you have to go out of your way to give it to them. They do need to know when it's day and night, though. I have two lamps with full-spectrum lighting on a timer, 12 hours on and 12 hours off. Additionally, the two in the rack face the window which gets some indirect sunlight, and my adult cages are each backlit by their own full spectrum fluorescent lighting, also on a timer.
