Do you ever just tell the person at the pet store you are feeding the thing you buy so you can get a cheaper animal just so you can keep it?
And are all feeder animals male since that is all I got so far?

when i do purchase from pet stores i do tell them. the reason i tell them is because they will allow me to go into the back where they hold all the animals that are not on display and pick out the correct size. i will say i buy from a breeder now who knows the sizes i need when i ask for them and it costs about 1/3 the price. with 18 snakes my food bill was over $240 a month when buying at a pet store

When your snake food bill costs more than your own/family food bill each month, it's time to start breeding your own rodents.
