Since you're our resident ball python morph guru, I figured I'd ask you.
Saw this guy in the incubator today so I asked him, "What type of morph are you?" He said nothing, nada, zip, zilch so I figured you'd know what he was.

I'm not quite sure what it is at this point. I bred Albino x Albino in this particular clutch expecting what else, Albinos. However, when I noticed this one Albino it looked insanely different from the others so I ran a lineage search in our database to see if we ever crossed any Axanthics to this particular breeding group years back and it appears that we did not.
I took two photos of the mystery albino alongside a clutchmate so you can see what I'm talking about. One photo was taken with flash and the other without. I'll try to get a non-flash photo out in the daylight today if time permits. Better yet, I'll wait til they go through their first shed to see what's revealed.
Here goes, let me know what you think!
Without-flash
With-flash

ok now that im on an LCD monitor that is NOT a Snow LOL
with out the flash it looks to have a lavander look ( which most balls have right when they hatch)
that is some extreme fade on it. its DEF a keeper. the ORG photo looks Snow on my monitor at work but here there is way to much pattern showing through. unless it was a line of axanthic that wasnt as strong. but you state its never had axanthic in the line so that throws that out the window.
Ron, is there any blusher OR faded albinos in this line that may have been mixed in? have you bred these two animals before? do they happen to have a similar genetic bloodline? ( brother and sister, mom and son, mom and grandson ETC....)
the head and neck seems to have more contrast then the rest of the body. i wonder if some hidden genetics ( deb would love that...if it turns out to be this Deb you can throw it in my face but the chance of hitting on something NEW is WAY out there...still could be) were in the bloodline if they are realated.. if not was one of the albinos produced made from a het that may have had another genetic backround that could play in?
