Nick (NickMyers03) and I are working together on an albino breeding project. His albino male (code name "Diesel") is the guest of honor in my Reptile Room and is courting my 100% het albino Daphne. At least we hope he is.

I put them together for the first time this morning and went to work. I came home and checked on them, and this is what I found:

With the aspen substrate it's hard to be 100% sure, but it looks like Diesel is just missing the mark. This does not appear to me to be a lock, but it does appear that Diesel has the right idea and is in the correct general vicinity to accomplish his mission. If they are still in this position tomorrow morning, I'll gently brush aside the substrate to get a clearer view. Regardless, this seems to us to be a good sign for their first date.

really Ron? i dont count a lock unless i see a lock... it looks like they might be courting but unless i see the hemipenes actually in the female ( i take great care when checking) then i dont count it... also if the "lock" is some what covered i dont count it.. i do the 3 days on 4days off breeding wise...some times i flip the days.

this way if there is a good lock and i dont catch it i know theres a chance

Since we're on the topic of Albinos, just caught another ovulation tonight (the camera-flash makes her swelling look blurry). Very Happy
