I have one and I like it, works well though you have to finagle it to get the right temperatures.

As long as I can adjust for night time temp drop and winter breeding season temp drop, I'll be as happy as a BP in a hide.

Do I also need a timer for day/night temperatures? I am setting up my tank prior to receiving my ball and want to be sure it is ready to go.



As long as I can adjust for night time temp drop and winter breeding season temp drop, I'll be as happy as a BP in a hide.[/quote]

No you don't need to drop temps at night. Night drop is consider mostly for breeding purposes but it is not a requirement.
