Herphero came to town and said... Lestat doesn't constrict much around your arm.. well not as much as Leia... Is he growing lazy? Or is he just comfortable around me? *sigh... think there's somethin wrong with him just being relaxed?

I think each snake does his/her own thing. Kaa doesn't constrict around my arm or hand hardly at all. He'll tie himself in a loose knot and just sit there, looking around. But give him a mouse, he'll squeeze it so hard it's eyes almost pop out. I think it's kinda like when ya give someone a hand shake or a hug, different people give a different squeeze.

I've noticed that the longer I'm around/hanging out with/etc. Sugar *my ball python* the less he squeezes.
He seems to only do it when he is spooked about something or doesn't want to go back in his tank. Sugar used to squeeze around the arm and ride around, but now he won't even "grip" if he is in a precarious position. I actually have to secure him because he seems disinclined to hold on.
I say take it as a sign Lestat is very comfortable with you.
