|
I was wondering if anyone has made their own microclimate habitat. I'm thinking of super gluing a rock, water bowl with a cardboard hide.
the cheapest one i found is 30 bux at the local pet store, and I dont plan on spending more money for something that is more of a luxury than a necessity.
Let me know of successes and "dont dos no matter what."
Thanks

I can't really visualize what your plan is. Do you mean supergluing these things to the tank? You may regret it come cleaning time.

I wouldn't recommend cardboard long-term... it will get pooped on and ruined in no time.

the pooping and peeing may be a problem. I didnt think of that. I've only had my BP for a week now and i saw it do its business outside its hide.
Is it common or rare to see BP [censored word]/pee in its hide, or is it random to where a BP does his/her bathroom business?
in terms of making it. Imagine a 3x4x2 hide upside down and the bowl upside down on top.
or, if it helps.
imagine a hide ontop of the water bowl, and then flipped. 1,2 just like that.
but im probably not going to do this because of the poop and peeing, i forgot how wet their waste can be.
i just wanted to make use of the supplies before i buy something bigger for my BP ( i still havnt chose a name)
thanks for the feedback.
