Alligators Found In Hartford

HARTFORD - Alligators are not native to Wisconsin, which makes it hard to explain what two boys found in Hartford.
The pair found two small alligators in the Rubicon River while they were looking for minnows.
At first, wildlife officials thought they were caimans but later discovered they are indeed alligators.
Both of the alligators were about three feet long and one had its mouth taped shut with electrical tape.
Police believe someone was keeping the reptiles as pets and dumped them in the river when they got too big. They are searching for the owner.
