It was an uneventful drive. A beautiful day, sharp, crisp, bracing..just the weather to be out and about in!

I arrived, joked around with the ticket lady! She was VERY nice (everyone was actually!! I met some of the nicest people. Harald and Alicia showed up and we hung out trying to "help" each other, but actually getting in each other's ways. Have y'all ever noticed that when someone says, help me not buy a snake, they don't mean it? Laughing

Alicia...a lot of fun! Harald refused to have his pic taken..sigh.

Buffet!

So many snakes...so little time!

Please These Things ARE HUGE!!

Since we know that reptiles start very very small, I wonder how huge these gators will get?

Hots

Wrapping up..finding a pet to take home with me.

TADA!!!

Thanks!

This was a small show Buck, but so many people attended that I believe they really ought to have rented a bigger place. The crush was astounding. Surprised

I got there at 11:00 and Alicia and Harald weren't far behind me. Ron was there earlier and so I missed him:-x , sorry Nick.

I managed to pick up a bag of 300 small rats, a tower display case, 8 female ASFs and 2 males, and 3 bags of rat chow..*one mazuri and 2 generic.*

I did get the rats! Laughing

But seriously folks..the Gecko was very inexpensive...*and I needed to fill an empty tank* I originally wanted a female Cherry-Headed Red-food tortoise...but none were there.

The tower display sorta fell in my lap..the guy remembered that he had a customer at the Chantilly Show (me) asking about displays and brought one this time...KISMET! Then....how could I pass up a deal for more ratfood since I got more rats? Laughing

P.S. Chamelons are high maintenance Py, I learned the same thing...and..I really researched. Leos (on top of ever other animal I have..require less care.

Speaking of empty tanks to fill, I had a free one land in my lap this weekend, and it's big. I don't know how many gallons, but it's 4' long by 2.5' wide x 3' high. Just sitting in my cellar with the rats, beckoning to me...

Now, what to put in it?

Well I am hoping she will learn to drink from the water bottle, but there are also three (tiny) dishes in there (put in later) for water and food and calcium.

I hate having nasty water sitting around.
So this is an experiment. Very Happy Hopefully, she will catch on, and I can fill the water dish with snacks for her.
