this tape is used widely in heating and air conditioning (hvac) industry. any hardware store should have it including lowes and home depot.

Okay......sorry I have been moving and re-building my herp room at the new house so I havent been around to answer.

The foil tape is HVAC like they pointed out.

I use the heat cable in this DYI for 2 main reasons.....

1. You can pick it up locally
2. There is no wiring involved

Plus as most all know by now, if you use products all by the same company they are kinda matched up. So if you use the cable and rheostat from Zoo Med it all seems to work well. I use heat tape for most other things.....however the heat cable is just a drive down the street....no shipping, no ordering, no wiring.

I like the reflective bubble wrap.....however the foil tape is really inexpensive and you can use it to tape the cable/heat tape into place. Works all the way around.

Thanks!
