Yes I am sure I could search for this and read about it but I am pretty busy so I am wondering if a 28qt tub is fine for an adult male BP or should I get 32qts?

a 28 qt should be fine you want a tub that will allow the snake to stretch completely out on one wall or up to two walls so it should be big enough. but if you have any doubt get the 32.

well i will stick with the 28s then I already bought two of them for my rack, I couldn't find any 32s that were completely flat along the top all the way around, all of them had little dips where the snake could possibly get out.
Thanks

ummmm - the 28 and 32qt tubs are essentially the same size...same floor space, the 32 is just a little bit taller. (little, as in a 28 with a lid fits snugly in the slot for a lidless 32)
Since you specifically mentioned 28 and 32qt tubs, I'm guessing you are talking about Sterilite? FWIW, I've never seen a 32qt Sterilite that didn't have a flat edge all the way around the top (the flat edge on top and the flat bottom surface are the reasons it is so widely used in racks)

Well they had them there, but they were purple with dips in them.

Hmmm - I got curious and went to Sterilite.com...can't find the 12/28 qts or the 15/32qt series listed (the categories seem slightly different, too, with some missing). Hopefully that doesn't mean they are discontinuing them (I emailed them to find out). It wouldn't be the first time a popular size has disappeared; in fact, that is one of the strongest arguments for utilizing Iris tubs - their sizes/models have remained unchanged for years.
I don't suppose you noticed the model number on the purple 32qt tub, did you? The standard 32qt is model 1756...I have 28 qt tubs with 2 different model numbers - they are quite close, but not exactly the same. One is minimally shorter, and the top edge (and lid fit) is slightly different.

No didn't catch the number I don't even think it was from sterilite. I just noticed it was purple and had some dips for the hinges or w/e so I didn't get it. That would suck if they discontinued the 32 and 28s I like my 28's a lot. I just finished putting holes in all my tubs and they are looking nice.

Might be a good idea to post pics so that we can see what you are talking about.

Ok here is the 28 qt I purchased. I put a ruler in there so you can judge the size of it.

Ok, Thanks!
I was trying to figure out what you meant by "dips" for the hinges. You mean notches for the lid to latch onto?
Where are the "dips" where the snake could possibly get out?

There are no dips on that tub but on almost all of the ones i saw around this side at the store had like dips where the handles would be. The lids had like latches instead of just popping onto the top so there are indents on the sides.
Like these--- http://sterilite.com/Category.html?Section=Storage&ProductCategory=37#

Ahh, it becomes clear now.
I have a few 1886s and have had no escapes from them (just in case that was your main worry). They worked fine for me.

That's the other 28qt box...the 1846 (yes, I can tell them apart, lol). As a general FYI, if you are using them in a rack with close clearance, make sure you grab the same model # all the time. I somehow ended up with a few of those, when I usually bought the 1856's (no mystery as to how it happened - I figured 28 qt was 28 qt, and I didn't check the model number). Luckily, I made my racks with a comfortable clearance, and the 1846's, though quite snug, still fit.
