Buck-

I have a few issues of that magazine. Is that considered to be the "source" when it comes to periodicals?

Also, you would think with Ball Pythons being the most popular choice of snake as a pet, that there would be a magazine dedicated solely to this snake.

Has anyone thought of trying to pull some people together and attempting to publish a periodical dedicated to just BP's?

You may want to ask the question on Faunaclassifieds. Most of the long time breeders frequent that site and they can provide you with more information.

Thanks for the info Deb.

And I don't know how this happened, but I completely missed Nicks question "Colburn?", in reference to my identity.

Yes. My name is Jonathan Colburn (I thought I included that information when
I registered).

The only online "presence" I have is my Myspace pages and my YouTube page.

http://www.myspace.com/jonathancolburn

http://www.myspace.com/preverbal

http://www.youtube.com/user/mrjonnyangel

Anyway, if anyone (including Nick) needs additional information on me I'm happy to give it out as I am an open book.

Thanks-

j

It's not an academic or scientific journal, if that's what you're looking for. As far as it being the "source," I'm sure I'm not qualified to render that judgment. I'm a subscriber and I enjoy the articles. I particularly enjoy the juxtaposition of information about how threatened species live and behave in the wild, with information about how to keep them in captivity. It's not an intentional contradiction since legitimate keepers of endangered animals like zoos, after all, could benefit from the knowledge. Given that most of the readers are probably hobbyists, though, it seems a bit clumsy to me.
