two questions what happens if a normal breeds with a normal because most normals i saw were lesser platiums and normals and what happens if you breed two het 100% albinos you have? oh and can you kepp the male and female in same cage?????? ANd if not what size other tank should i buy for the male.. (the female gets the bigger one lol!!!)

A: you will get all normals.

Q:most normals i saw were lesser platiums and normals
A: you can only make lesser platty if you have a lesser platty, lessers are a codom animal so if you breed a lesser to a normal you will get a 50% of a lesser or normal in each egg

Q:what happens if you breed two het 100% albinos you have?
A:you have a 25% chance of producing a visual albino, in the same clutch all normals produced will be 66% het albino ( Possible het) you dont know which are normal and which are true hets

Q:can you kepp the male and female in same cage??????
A: only during breeding and only for a certain amount of time ( i do 3-4 days together, 3-4 days apart. and try to give a week off once a month), all ball pythons need to have their own tank/tub because they are not social animlas and keeping them together will cause stress and eating problems

Q:what size other tank should i buy for the male.. (the female gets the bigger one lol!!!)
A: if you are using a glass tank and you want it to be a good size for a breeder size male through out his life a 20 LONG is good. tanks are harder to keep the heat and humidity in so i would suggest a rack system. if you are looking into breeding you NEED to make sure that you are set up for it. you have to have a tub/tank for EACH baby hatched that is correct with temp and humidity, have an incubator that is running at least 1 month before the eggs are due to make sure that temps and humidity are steady.

so do yo increase your chance of getting a visual albino if you breed a 100%het albino with a visual albino? if so what is the chance, 100%?

Albino X Het. Albino

50% of clutch = Visual Albino
50% of clutch = 100% het albino ( using a visual give 100% hets)


now these are odd there is NO 100% that you will get an albino, you may get all hets. the only way to make sure you get an albino is to breed albino to albino which will result in every egg being an albino
