I did end up getting this thermostat and I'm very happy with it. Just as Buck said, I think it's consistent even if it doesn't read exactly the same as my thermometer probe.
I do have a question though, do you guys turn down the thermostat at night a little to lower the "basking" area temp?

um i'm no expert but i believe you have to keep the temps constant meaning within the temps the animal likes 91-94 and not hotter than 95

I thought at night the ambient temps could drop to about 80. But I wasn't sure if I should keep the basking temp between 90 and 95 or if that could/should drop too?
