We have been having nive weather here in Ca. Low 80s is great! Dont mean to rub it in for those who are in the cold!

Do they have big, bulbous skulls or is that all muscle at the back of their jaws?

I think it's muscle, but I'll have to look it up.
Feels fleshy to me, though.
EDIT: Can't find the answer quickly online, but I have a book at home that I think has a picture of the skull. That should answer the question.
Great question, by the way. Don't know why I never thought to ask it myself.
