this is going to be a weird one, but what tape or whatever does everyone use to keep the slack from the sensors and so on againest the tank rather then just dangling inside? so far i tried electrical tape (found why its jus for electrical purposes) didn't hope for more then an hour, then i used this kinda cloth duck tape feeling thing and it holds longer but then just comes off. kinda irritaing to keep sticking back then later coming off.

I use packing tape. I only use this under the substrate not on the side of the glass or anywhere the snake can come into direct contact with it. I'm not saying that they don't burrow or move the substrate and come into contact with it but generally when it's under the substrate they don't come into contact with it.
You have to make sure it is stuck down flat on all sides you don't want a piece sticking up and your snake getting caught on it, That can create a real problem and a health risk. I've been using this for quite some time and it works great just use some common sense with it.

Ryan is correct, I also use that silver heat tape. It can be found on most reptile supply places.

is it alright if i use a carefresh pet bedding as a substrate? just wondering cuz i also keep gerbils as pets and i have a ton of the bedding

ok so yea i made a humid hide the other day, kinda crappy but it had the main purpose covered titan didn't go near it lol so since i was at the petstore earlier i decided to buy a humid hide since the one i made is an eyesore well a few hours after i added the new hide he is already in it! he is already like all my other pets! nothing is good for them unless it comes from my pocket! blah as long as their covered nothing i can do haha, and first time i saw him yawn! it was pretty cool never saw a snake do that before

I would not EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER (I hope I'm not being too subtle) put ANY kind of tape inside the snake's tank. Even if it's under the substrate, they do burrow sometimes, plus humidity or an incidental water spill can weaken the tape's hold and then your bp has some nice dangerous tape to play with. Despite how careful you've been, they WILL pull it up if they get determined. They may get under free sections of cord and yank at them until the tape comes up, and pull off some scales for their trouble--this HAS happened to people in this forum.
I duct tape cords to the top edge of the outside of the tank, and from there I just let them dangle--sometimes I use large window clings, but they don't stay long because my bp LOVES to mess up cords that I've carefully tried to stick down in one place. I just make sure to check and reposition probes daily, same time as I'm checking temps and water. Most of the time they stay more or less where they should be.

70-75% is what is generally recommended. But if your bp relies on a humid hide during shed it can be higher than that inside the hide. The ambient humidity in the tank is less important if the humid hide is properly used.

I agree with her on the tape but if you do it right and tape the entire cord down they can't get under it. I put the water away from the cord and thermometer....

Everyone's right. 
FYI...BPs have been known to have swallowed probes too. It's a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils. I use tape, and haven't had a problem with..but I use the SILVER heat tape stuff and it won't come up even when wet.

so i took the tape out from inside the tank and place the hide over the probe so hopefully it won't get moved but wut about the carefresh bedding?

I REDID MY VIV! no pix yet but maybe later. so i added a ton of the fake greens (vines plants things) also put reptibark in as well. i WAS gonna put this piece i driftwood i brought in but i was SMART enough to look at it first and notice a TON I MEAN A TON of holes and what seems like a dead bee lodged in one of the crevices. should i throw it away? i mean it was only $6, or show i soak it in some kind of solution?? also when i added the plants and reptibark the humidity SHOT up, is there any way i can lower it back down or should i just remove the reptibark all together??
