alright a person I subscribe to on youtube.com has a snake that when it eats it strikes itself here is a video of it doing it

Feeding in an empty enclosure actually works against a BP's natural instincts. They are ambush eaters and need security.
Some have been able to make the adjustment and are considered "trained" but even these may stop eating after a while and the owners have gotten them restarted by feeding in the tank instead of going against their instincts.
