Thanks Nick! I didn't want to say, in case my hopes had overridden my common sense again! But their heads are purple and there's plenty of blushing (from what I could see).

Thanks guys! Proud mama!
Snakz, the egg on the bottom didn't make it and I knew it was bad, but since that wouldn't interfer with the growth/development of the other eggs, I left it alone rather than risk separating it and damaging the others.
Of 5 eggs, 1 was a slug and another (bottom egg) didn't make it. So that leaves 3 viable eggs that hatched successfully.

Congrats Deb! Nice looking pastel you have there! What kind of substrate were you using? Or did you move them after they pipped?

Thanks Mark! This time I actually have Pastels, rather than dreams.
To answer your question and explain the answer: I have been trying different substrates..this time I had wet towels, worked perfectly with my AVEY incubator. Last time I used Hatchrite..also good and SP. Moss.
Of all of them, the Hatchrite was the cleanest and stayed the cleanest..(but it's so freaking expensive). Actually, this incubator doesn't need any substrate.
*p.s there was no risk, and they are not moved until the finish absorbing the yolk.

They're coming out! The first hatched is already out and weights in at 75 grams!

All babies are cute! But their markings are very distinctly contrasting on their bodies.
