Both of my bp's Gary (4yrs old and Charlie 4months old) both shed last night. I found both of the pieces of skin inside there hides. My older male shed perfect but it wasn't all streched out like with my corn snake it was in a ball in his hide. This is the first time that either of my bp's have shed for me. Charlie the smaller male I just got this week shed in his hide as well and there were no left over pieces of skin on him just about a half to quarter of an inch on his tail. The skin was in pieces but I think that is where he lied on it and moved it around and tore it. They both look perfect no left overs just thought it was weird they shed in there hides and that the skin was in a ball. Anyone else ever seen this?

actually when mind did it for the first time did it in a ball I figured it was because she shed in her hide and it rolled up into a ball as she left her hide.

My royal nearly always does it in his hide and has never shed in one piece, almost once but not quite. On the other hand my corn snake always sheds in one. I have come to think that it is normal for him to do it in bits, I just make sure that I mist twice a day in his viv to help abit when he is in blue.

Your corn requires less humidity to shed properly. Hence the reason why your corn sheds perfectly while your ball does not. Take a look at some of the posts on here regarding humidity, or do a forum search. Either way you should come up with a good number of ways to fix your problem. Best of luck.

Sorry I must have typed wrong. They both shed perfect all of the skin was gone it was just weird becuase instead of being one long piece of skin stretched out through the tank it was in a ball in the hide. No problems with left over skin on the snake at all.

All of my ball pythons leave their sheds all rolled up. My greens spread theirs all over the enclosure, like corns do. Just a difference in the species.
