When I first got Ty after the lights would go out she would come to explore her cage and try and escape ever since she went into shed and has come out of it (almost perfect) She hasnt been comeing out of her hides (well except for feeding and handling) I know she changes hides but it usualy when I am asleep she changes hides at least when she shed her skin. Is this normal behaviour after shed or when she becomes comfortable with her cage?

There all different! When they do go into shed at least with all of mine they will dissapear until there done you may not see them for 2 weeks at a time. Gary used to do the same things when I would turn out the lights he came out, but now I rarely see him out of his hide's. I think what happens is the first few weeks in there new home they explore what they have and where they can go. Once they realize it's no use trying to escape they go back to what there good at and thats hiding.... Now my corn snake is the complete opposite she comes out whether the light is on or not in the evenings she is very active but she is more cautious when the light is on than when it's off. Every snake is different some are very active and some are not. Also whats normal one month for them may not be for the next month so then you get used to them doing that and they change it up again....
